State law requires periodic training to maintain your guard license. All Pro Security has teamed with several highly experienced instructors to provide you with a one-stop location for your training needs. Contact us today to find out how you can become a security guard or better your skills with the help of our training team.
Before gaining employment as a security guard, the State of Utah requires that you complete a certified 8 hour training course, receive a background check, and submit an application to DOPL (Division of Public Licensing). Click here to sign up and pay for the unarmed guard training course. Call us at 801-796-1227 for further information on the licensing process.
Part of the DOPL's requirements for maintaining an armed or unarmed license is to complete continuing education hours. These hours are to be turned in to show that each guard is continually participating in new trainings to improve and sharpen their skills. Call us at 801-796-1227 for further information about how many continuing education hours are required for each security guard license.
This is not a mandatory training, but it will be offered monthly to obtain free training hours. All SFOs will be able to obtain upwards from 2-4 hours at each class.
This class is sponsored and put on by Sandy Police Department. It is for all SFO or ODLE's. The online registration deadline for this course is November 23, 2018 and is limited to the first 50 applicants. The New Instructor Training integrates proven baton techniques with rapid and strong cuffing tactics and the flashlight in-hand or on the officer's belt. This intense course includes multi-use drills, general tactics and expert support in case of litigation arising out of training. You do not have to carry ASP baton, handcuffs, or flashlights to attend.
